Woman and Dream
We are a social initiative building safer, equal communities worldwide
NISA, a word that signifies both
“woman” and “dream,”
is a women-led initiative committed to building safer and more equal communities. In a world shaped by patriarchy, where discrimination and violence are often normalized, we stand to confront these injustices head-on.
Our mission is clear: to ensure that every woman not only has the freedom to dream but also the power to realize those dreams.
Registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860, NISA works through targeted regional
Hotspots
— diverse settings such as urban neighborhoods, rural areas, schools, and colleges — where we implement our five platforms of change. These Hotspots serve as testing grounds to refine our models of impact, which are then replicated and scaled across new regions to expand our reach and create lasting transformation in communities.
Our Mission
To build safer, more equal communities by breaking down patriarchal norms and empowering women, children, and men to create lasting change.
Our
Platforms
Real change needs many paths. At NISA, we work across five key platforms to break barriers and build equality.
1
Platform A:
Awareness & Sex Education for Children
We teach children about boundaries, consent, gender identities and healthy relationships using age-appropriate content for different stages. The goal is to raise informed, respectful and responsible citizens.
Platform B:
Self-Defense Training for Women
We train women in self-defense and provide psychological support. This builds confidence, physical strength and the ability to navigate unsafe situations independently.

Platform C:
Mindset Reforms for Men
Patriarchy hurts everyone but men benefit from it unless they choose to question it. This platform works with men and boys to:
– Break down toxic masculinity and rigid gender roles
– Promote empathy, openness and shared responsibility
– Create male allies who advocate for equality
– Offer safe spaces for reflection and learning
Platform D:
Therapy & Counseling Services
Support for survivors of violence and trauma offered both professionally and informally. We use a trauma-informed approach with:
– One-on-one therapy sessions
– Informal peer support from trained team members
– Hybrid models (online and offline) for flexibility
The focus is on creating safe, inclusive spaces where people feel seen and heard.

5
Platform E:
Legal Assistance
Accessible legal support for survivors to navigate the justice system, including:
– Free or low-cost legal aid
– Partnerships with experienced lawyers
– Coordination with therapists and medical professionals
– Rights education and survivor empowerment
– Legal awareness drives and success stories to inspire change
